National Consumer Panel NCP - Review

For my next review, I’ll be telling you about the National Consumer Panel.
NCP is another way for you to go about your daily life and, at the same time, be able to earn rewards like cash cards, entry into sweepstake programs, name-brand merchandise, and more!
National Consumer Panel is a joint venture between NielsenIQ (DBA Nielsen Consumer LLC.) and IRi (Precise Insights for Relentless Growth), both consumer insights providers in the United States.
National Consumer Panel is a legitimate marketing research company. They’ve been representing millions of Americans since 1987 to help manufacturers and retailers decide what products to develop and improve.

How Does NCP Work?
NCP provides its members, US consumers, with handheld scanning devices and other data collection methods to provide high-quality consumer data to support the needs of both NielsenIQ and iRI.
NCP gives their panelists the chance to earn rewards from a simple process - scanning barcodes of the items they buy weekly!
By being a panelist with NCP, you have the opportunity to alter brands or improve a consumer’s shopping experience. You have a chance to make a difference. Brands listen to their consumers.
How To Sign Up To National Consumer Panel
Becoming a panelist for NCP isn’t a “done deal.” To qualify, you and your household have to meet specific requirements, and the slots for participation are limited.
NOTE: Don’t stop here. NCP is competitive because it’s worth the hassle.
Fill in their registration form. They ask the usual questions, including name, address, email, date of birth, etc.
Go to National Consumer Panel and click Become an NCP Panel Member.
After registering, NCP will send you an email inviting you to become a member after meeting all the requirements.
How To Earn Rewards
As a member, they will give you access to their NCPMobile, their mobile app for scanning and reporting your shopping information. Both iOS and Android are available.
You use the app to scan barcodes on all your usual weekly purchases. They may also ask you for additional information about the items you purchased or where you shopped, and whether you used a Club Card.
NCP receives all the information you reported. You’ll receive reward points for this information, and you can use the points in exchange for gift cards, merchandise from their gift catalog, and more.
How points work:
- You will start by earning 150 points for each weekly report you submit with the shopping data that NCP receives.
- The weekly points increase the longer you are a panelist. Some panelists have been working with NCP for a decade!
- You also get the opportunity to earn additional points by answering surveys, being on specialty panels, etc.
- As a panelist, you are automatically entered into their weekly, monthly, and quarterly sweepstakes for extra reward points, gift cards, and even cash!
- Monthly Sweepstakes = $200 with 10 winners each month.
- Quarterly Super Scanner Sweepstakes = $500 with 5 winners each quarter.
- Cash Giveaway Quarterly Sweepstakes = $5,000 with 1 winner each quarter.
- EXTRA! As a member, you are also entitled to the NCPRewards+ program offering special discounts at AT&T and other major retailers.

Final Thoughts
Two top-tier consumer marketing companies legitimately back NCP. If you shop regularly and want to voice an opinion, scanning products is an easy task. You can see that I found more pros than cons!
Being an NCP panelist is an opportunity to have fun, earn some cool stuff, and help the rest of us keep companies and manufacturers honest by providing what we like and want.
You won’t get rich being a panelist for NCP, but prizes are good too.
