Once registered to our website, you can access all the studies that we publish. Browse by study category or city in order to find what interests you. Apply for a study - mind the study application end date and the requirements. Fill out the required form for the study. Your application will be reviewed and if you qualify, you will be invited to participate. Our advice is to apply for as many as you can so you will increase your chances of participating in multiple studies and earn more money. After completing the study you will be paid.

To get started, click here to become our user and then you can browse the listings of all the studies. Once you find one that you are interested in, you need to click the registration button and take the pre-qualification survey. If you are selected to participate, you will be contacted by phone or email.

Depending on the type of study you’ve enrolled in - focus group, app install or clinical trial - you will get paid by the facility or market research company that is hosting the study once the study is completed. The payment types vary per study.

If you qualify for a study and you have been selected to participate in it, you will be contacted by the facility or research conductor via email or phone.

If you have been selected to participate in a study you will be contacted usually by phone and/or email.

The demographic criteria varies per study, and these are determined by the companies that initiate the study (companies like Coca Cola, Apple, Ford, etc.). We don’t have any control over this nor do we have a say when it comes to the list of criteria.

Yes, we do! There are not a lot of studies published for smaller cities/towns, but since 2020 most of them moderated the way they operate - we’re seeing an increase of focus groups being conducted online as well as more studies open to people nationwide. Totally understand your frustration! Here’s some background info that should help clarify the selection process a bit for each category.

Focus group studies - all of them have a very specific set of criteria that respondents need to meet before they can qualify. For example: One focus group may be looking for married women between 30-35 with kids, and an annual household income of $75k+ and they purchase a very specific brand of hand soap. Another focus group might be looking for single men between 20-25 that have traveled by plane in the last 2 months and have eaten at the airport.

On a positive note: keep in mind there are hundreds of people that are selected to be and participate in a focus group every day. Our best advice is to be proactive as much as possible: the focus groups studies are open for respondents for a relatively short period of time, that’s why we send out new focus group studies to our email subscribers and post them on our website at the same day that they are open.

App install studies - all of them have, again, a very specific set of criteria but on the other hand, get a lot more respondents in a research pool.

Clinical trial studies - all of them are tied to some medical condition that is required and are conducted in specific locations - on top of the general requirements like age, gender. These studies have a longer span of time to apply for and take more time to be completed.

It would be best to check with the focus group facility that is conducting the focus group.

Yes, you can. We invite all the companies that want to post their online studies, focus groups, app installs, clinical trials to submit their request by clicking here.

If you are applying from any other country but the USA, you won’t be able to proceed. The studies that we are posting are exclusively aiming to find participants located in the United States of America.

Let’s get you back on track! Fastest way to solve this is by following these steps:

1. Go to this page and request a password reset email: https://focusgroups.org/account/password_reset/
2. Go to your email inbox and open the password reset email. NOTE: It may take some time for the email to arrive. Also, check the spam/junk folder as it may have ended up there.
3. Go to the login page
4. Click on the link in the email, it will take you to the password change page.
5. Enter a new password in both fields and hit the “Submit” button.
6. Congratulations! You just changed your password. The system will automatically log you in.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If it’s required, you will also need to register with the studies provider or focus group facilities that conduct the focus groups after registering with FocusGroups.org.

You can opt to unsubscribe at any time - there’s a link at the bottom of every email that we send out. Simply click on the word “Unsubscribe” and it will open up the unsubscribe page where you can confirm your intention.

Also, you can do so in your account on FocusGroups.org

1. Login to https://focusgroups.org/getstarted/
2. Click your profile name at the top right side of the page.
3. Choose Account
4. Then click "Unsubscribe"
5. Save / Confirm you want to unsubscribe from our mailing list

Done!

Please note that by doing this, you will no longer receive any emails from FocusGroups.org.

If you decide to return to the mailing list, simply follow the same steps and in step 4. click "Subscribe".

You can opt to delete your account at any time.

1. Login to https://focusgroups.org/getstarted/
2. Click your profile name at the top right side of the page.
3. Choose Account
4. Then click "Permanently Delete Account"

Please note that by doing this, you will no longer have access to the user area of our website and all your data will be deleted, you will also no longer receive any emails from FocusGroups.org.

Please be aware that you will need to follow the instructions and requests listed for each study - if they ask the potential candidates or participants to fill out their own form or create an account with them - that’s a requirement by the facility or research entity.
